Lower Hunter vignerons consider bringing in organic material produced by multi-million-dollar recycling programs in major cities of New South Wales. IAN TINKLER SAYS the special character of Lower Hunter wines is a delicate quality and has to be recognised, nurtured and protected. He doesn't want it diluted. He doesn't want it replaced by tourist hotels. And he certainly doesn't want anybody to import any organism in recycled organic material that might kill it all off.
