"Doing science" is more complex today than ever. Yet, as scientists move toward addressing more clil'licult problems and realize the necessity to address them in a mnltidisciplinary fashion, efforts arc complicated by the 'stove-piping' of disciplines and indi iduals'expertise and the fact that established scientific methods do not lend themselves to many forms of mil I-tidisciplinary or team science.
