Approximate a-optimal sampling plans

The x-optimal acceptance sampling scheme (introduced in v. COLLANI (1985)) is based on a linear cost model and on the assumption that the percentage of incoming ‘good’ lots is known from past experiences. In this paper an easy approximation for z-optimal sampling plans is derived, so that application on the workshop level becomes possible
