VL Gehun 829 -- a dual-purpose high- yielding wheat variety for condition of northern hills zone

VL Gehun 829 is a new dual-purpose (green fodder-cum-grain) high-yielding bread wheat variety, released for commercial cultivation in 2003 by the central sub-committee on crop standards, release and notification for rainfed, early-sown and low fertility conditions of northern hills zone. This variety has high-yielding ability, wider adaptability and high degree of resistance to yellow and brown rusts and loose smut.
