摘要

Demand of human beings on cultivated land is increasing with the increase in population. So, fodder of forest origin, or uncultivated fodder, can be a logical answer to reduce this demand on land and to increase sustainability of the system. Researchactivities showed a rationale of increasing reliance on the forest/uncultivated land for animal husbandry practices in mountain areas rather than switch over to cultivate fodder on terraced land as often pursued by the dominant view of animal husbandry.
