Synthesis of N-Aryl-N-(triorganostannyl)cyanamides

The synthesis of N-phenyl-N-(triphenylstannyl)cyanamide and N-phenyl-N-(trimethylstannyl)cyanamide is described. These compounds undergo a novel reaction with aryl isothiocyanates or aryl isocyanates to give N-aryl-N-(triorganostannyl)cyanamides and phenyl isothiocyanate or phenyl isocyanate.
