Effects of Sodium on Photosynthesis inPanicum coloratum

Foliar application of NaCl to sodium-deficientPanicum coloratumstimulated photosynthesis, as did application via roots. Effects of sodium on photosynthetic responses to internal concentrations of CO2under different light intensities and initial products of14CO2fixation suggested that CO2fixation and amination of oxalacetate were limited by sodium deficiency.
