Prices have plunged in the European market for photovoltaic (PV) systems, dropping more than 30 percent since last year, according to industry sources. In the case of Japanese and European manufacturers, prices were ?2.8 to ?2.9 per watt in 2008. They are now less than ?2 per watt, they say.Amid this climate of crisis, Intersolar 2009, Europe's largest exhibition of PV systems, at-tracted 15 percent more visitors than last year's show. The show took place from May 27 to 29 in Munich, Germany. The organizer said the three-day event drew about 60,000 visitors from more than 150 countries.
