Water pollution: a health hazard and its remedies

Polluted water causes 4 types of diseases viz. bacterial, protozoan, viral, and algal because causal organisms of these diseases are present in it. Sometimes high level of chemicals also becomes hazardous and causes menamata, bronchitis, anaemia etc.The water becomes polluted during distribution through pipelines and domestic as well as industrial plumbing. To avoid water pollution it should be treated artificially as well as naturally. Boiling treatment was found efficient, cheaper and the best against micro-organisms, when compared with aquaguard, Zero B and candle filtre, but it also showed change of taste, consumption of more time (ie. 10-15 min) and tedious.
