Cross-sectional vascular imaging with CT and MR angiography.

Both magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and computed tomography angiography (CTA) have undergone significant technical improvement during the past few years, with both modalities having matured into highly accurate vascular imaging tools. A large body of literature exists regarding the performance of MRA and CTA for specific applications. This article reviews the use of cross-sectional vascular imaging extracranial applications.
