The notochords of three normal, 35-day Mαcαcα mulαttα embryos were examined ultrastructurally. Notochordal cells had numerous polysomes and ribosomes, and some rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, Golgi complexes, coated vesicles, and secretory granules.
