Supply Chain Management (SCM) is an integrative philosophy to manage the total flow of a channel from the earliest supplier of raw materials to ultimate customer. According to Ferguson (2000), the concept of SCM incorporates two important ideas: (1) SCM is a collaborative effort that combines many parties or processes in the product cycle; and (2) it shows that SCM can cover the entire product cycle, from the introduction of raw materials to the point at which the consumer purchases the product.
