Intellectual Property in Dairy Industryand its Patenting

The Second World War has widened the gap between the developed and developing economies. For reshaping world economy "The Bretton Woods Conference" was held in 1944 at New Hampshire and concluded the idea of establishing three international institutions viz., International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD); International Monetary Fund (IMF) and International Trade Organization (ITO). The IBRD and IMF came into existence in 1945. In the first round in Havana conference held during 1947, ablueprint for establishment of ITO on the lines of IBRD and IMF was prepared. USA refused to sign the charter and in place of ITO, a temporary body named "General Agreement on Tariff and Trade" (GATT) was established. The 8th round of Havana conference,termed as 'Uruguay Round' held in September 1986 concluded in Geneva in Dec.1993.
