Guillaume Perret, founder and Director of Perret Associates, talked to World Coal about President Obama's Clean Energy Plan and compares it with the recent German legislation where, in an interesting twist, gas appears to be losing out to the increase in renewables capacity, rather than coal. Perret also provided some insight into the continuous growth of financial trading, which illustrates the resilience and long-term positive prospects of the coal market.
