Reactions of (E)- and (Z)-1,3-Dichloropropenes with Secondary Amines

An efficient procedure was developed for preparation of (E)- and (Z)-3-chloroprop-2-ne-l-yl-amines from commercially available 1,3-dichloropropene.Aminoalkenyl moieties with a particular configuration of the double bond occur in many pharmaceutical substances 1-4. One of attractive routes for their incorporation into an organic molecule is via various cross-coupling reactions involving appropriate vinyl halides, which leave unaffected the double bond configuration 5, 6.
