The growing problem of liver fluke in cattle and two contagious bovine diseases were among the subjects under discussion at the National Beef Association's (NBA) Beef Expo event.Lynda Maris of Merial Animal Health told delegates that liver fluke was no longer considered a seasonal parasite that was largely confined to the North West region."The mild, wet weather has changed the pattern of liver fluke infection across our national herd," said Ms Maris. "It has always been associated with autumn and winter, but we are now seeing cases in spring and autumn all over the country.
