Phytochemical investigation of the whole plants of Artemisia arenaria affords one new eudesmane sesquiterpent,eudesm-5-ene-1#beta#,4#alpha#-diol 1 and ten known compounds,#alpha#-amyrin 2,#beta#-amyrin 3,#beta#-sitosterol 4,4-hydroxyacetophenone 5,5,7-dihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavanone 6,5-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavanone 7,5,6,3'-trimethoxyflavanone 8,5-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavone 9,5-hydroxy-6,7,4'-trimethoxyflavanone 10 and stigmastero 11.
