Conformational analysis about the N-C (aryl) bond in N-arylsuccinimidyl system incorporating different dissymmetric cages indicates that besides the steric and electronic interaction of nrtho-substituents,the dissymmetric cage also plays an important role in controlling the torsional barrier.
