Rochester Institute of Technology's photography students came to the Big Apple to shoot the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Intrepid. It was 7:10 p.m. on October 28, 1999, and the darkened flight deck of the retired U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier was abuzz with hundreds of students waiting in anticipation. The lights of the Manhattan skyline were aglow, and from our position at 12th Avenue and Pier 84 on the Hudson River, the city looked like a picture perfect postcard.
