摘要

4-Methyl-3-acetyl cinnoline used as a precursor to synthesize some new cinnoline based-chalconcs 3a-l. Reaction of chalcone with hydrazine hydrate in acetic acid yields the cinnoline based pyrazoline derivatives 4a-I. The structures of synthesized compounds have been confirmed by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectral studies and evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureaus and Klebsiella pneumoniae, antifungal activity against Aspergillus flavus, Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus niger and Trichoderma viridae and insecticidal activity against Periplaneta americana.
