FERTILISERS ARE SOURCE OF SUPPLY of nutrients to plants and are essential for their growth.Proper supply of nutrients to the plants is of great importance and it is directly related to farming economics.In India straight fertilisers are widely used for the crops.For the efficient use of nutrients in fertilisers it becomes necessary to know the possibilities of the losses of nutrients occurring during their application.Value addition in the fertilisers is one of the means to make fertilisers more efficient in the release of nutrients to the plants when applied into the soil.
