The production of N at 0.978 million tonnes (MMT) registered decline of 2.4% over February 2012. The production of P at 0.276 MMT witnessed steep decline of 19.8% during the period. Among the major fertiliser products, while the production of urea recorded a marginal increase of 1.1% during February 2013 over February 2012, the production of DAP and NP/NPK complex fertilisers witnessed steep decline of 9.3% and 33.3%, respectively, during the period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 84 and 89.7 thousand tonnes, from the respective targets during February 2013. The capacity utilisation of N and P reduced from 97.4% and 67.9% during February 2012 to 95.1% and 53.7%, respectively, during February 2013.
