Zinc Fertiliser Training Programme

The International Zinc Association (IZA) launched the Zinc Fertiliser Training Programme In 2010 in India, with an objective to generate awareness amongst its stakeholders to address zinc deficiency in soils, crops and humans through increased use of zinc fertilisers. About 50 per cent of Indian soils are deficient in zinc, which is impacting crop productivity adversely and affecting human health. Zinc Fertiliser Training Programme, an important activity of the Zinc Nutrient Initiative of IZA in India, was developed specially to offer to the member companies and other key stakeholders. The programme has been designed to also suit the training needs of the personnel involved in promotional and extension activities. The one day programme, facilitated by IZA's zinc fertiliser experts, provides a complete overview of zinc deficiency in crops and humans and use of zinc fertilisers.
