The Board of Directors of FAI in its meeting held on 24th June, 2016 decided to support the pilot project on Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of fertiliser subsidy to the farmers being undertaken by IFFCO in Kurukshetra district of Haryana and organize a meeting of all the fertiliser companies operating in the district. In this context, a meeting of heads of marketing was held in FAI on 11th July, 2016 in which it was decided to convene a meeting of the state in-charge of Haryana, field representatives in Kurukshetra and wholesalers operating in the district. Accordingly, a meeting was organized on 20th July, 2016 at Hotel Saffron, Kurukshetra under the chairmanship of Mr. Satish Chander, Director General, FAI, New Delhi. Dr. Karam Chand, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Government of Haryana, Kurukshetra and Mr. Yogendra Kumar, General Manager (Marketing), IFFCO, New Delhi also graced the occasion. More than 100 representatives from IFFCO, KRIBHCO, IPL, NFL, RCFL, CFCL, PPL, GSFC, GNFC, Indo Gulf Fertilisers, Mossaic, Coromandel International, Kribhco Shyam and ZACL along with wholesalers and cooperative society personnel participated in the meeting.
