The Pre-tea Session was chaired by Mr. Luc M Maene, Director General, International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), Paris. Post-tea Session was Chaired by Mr. Satish Chandra, Joint Secretary (A & M), Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, New Delhi. Mr. Ajay Bhattacharya, Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, New Delhi also joined the Session and interacted with the participants. Mr. A.C. Dubey, Chief Economist, FAI, New Delhi acted as Rapporteur. In all, four papers were presented in the session viz., (i) 'Global Demand Supply Outlook for Fertilisers and Raw Materials ' by Mr. Luc M. Maene, Director General, IFA, Paris; (ii) 'Strategies in Phosphate and Potash : Options for India' by Mr. Steven J. Markey, Managing Consultant, CRU, London U.K.; (iii) 'Self Sufficiency in Nitrogen for India' by Mr. R. Mukundan, Managing Director, Tata Chemicals Limited, Mumbai and (iv) 'Experience of NBS in P & K Fertilisers' by Mr. S.S. Nandurdikar, Managing Director, Paradeep Phosphates Limited, Gurgaon.
