What connects the seven cities Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Katowice, Prague and Warsaw? Let's take a look at the historical map of Europe before 1989 and then at Europe today. Out of the socialist cities and Berlin, which was divided until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, cities of the European Union have emerged. This shared historical and contemporary situation was the starting point for the project "Shared Cities". Between 2016 and 2020, 300 actions by eleven organisations were carried out in these seven cities. This work was supported by the European Commission's subsidy programme "Creative Europe", which specialises in culture and the media.
