Phytochemical analysis of the rhizomes of curcuma aromatica Salisb.(Zingiberaceae)lead to the isolation of a sesquiterpenoid named zederone for the first time from this plant,which shows moderate antifeedant activity aganist 4h instar larva of Spilarctia obliqua.
