Isolation,physico-chemical properties and structure elucidation studies on HA-2-91,a new tetraene polyene antifungal antibiotic produced by Streptomyces arenae var ukrainiana

HA-2-91,a new tetraene polyene macrolide antibiotic 1 has been isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces arenae var ukrainiana and purified by silica gel colun chromatography followed by preparative TCL.Is structure has been determined on the basis of spectral data (UV,IR,~1 H and ~(13) C NMR,mass),which accounts for its potent antifungal activity.
