A convenient,rapid and eco-friendly synthesis of bis-indolylmethanes under microwave irradiation

摘要

Silica chloride has been applied as a catalyst for the first time for rapid synthesis of bis-indolylmethanes in excellent yields by electrophilic substitution reaction of indoles with carbonyl compounds under microwave irradiation. The process is environmentally benign.
