Synthesis of l,3-diaryl-4-cyanopyrazoles from the corresponding aldoximes using dimethylformamide-thionylchloride complex

摘要

A mild and convenient method for the synthesis of 1,3-diaryl-4-cyanopyrazoles 4 from the corresponding aldoximes 2 using dimethylformamide-thionylchloride complex 3 is reported.Nitriles are versatile intermediates as they can be readily converted into biologically interesting heterocycles like thiazoles,tetrazoles,imidazoles and triazoles.
