Synthesis and fungicidal activity of some 6-aryl-2-(-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1 -dioxides

6-Aryl-2-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1 -dioxides 4 have been conveniently prepared from 6-aryl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-l,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-b]-l,2,4,6-thiatriazine-l,l-dioxides 2 by reaction of beta-D-l,2,3,4,6-penta-O-acetylglucopyranose and iodine.Thiatriazines 2 are synthesized by reported method from 2-amino-5-aryl-l,3,4-oxadiazole with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate (CSI) and diisopropyl ethylamine (DIEA).All the compounds have been tested in vitro for their antifungal activity against the two fungal species Cephalosporium saccharii and Colletotrichum falcatum.
