Production of N at 1.04 million metric tonnes (MMT) and P2O5 at 0.334 MMT declined by 7.2% and 23.2%, respectively, during September 2014 over September 2013. Production of all the major fertilisers declined during September 2014 over September 2013. Production of urea and NP/ NPK complex fertilisers declined by 4.5% and 0.7%, respectively, whereas a steep decline was noticed in production of DAP by 41.9%, during the period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 76.0 and 115.5 thousand tonnes from the respective targets during September 2014. Capacity utilisation of N and P2O5 reduced from 99.7% and 80.1%, during September 2013 to 92.2% and 62.1%, respectively, during September 2014.
