The production of N at 0.915 million tonnes and P2O5 at 0.214 million tonnes during May 2013 registered decline of 3.4% and 0.6%, respectively, over May 2012. The production of all major fertiliser products showed decline during May 2013. The production of Urea, DAP and NP/NPK complex fertilisers declined by 2.4%, 4.6% and 4.3%, respectively, during the period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 133.7 and 159 thousand tonnes, respectively, from the target during May 2013. The capacity utilisation of N and P2O5 reduced from 88% and 41.3% during May 2012 to 85% and 41%, respectively, during May 2013.
