Accurate projections of demand

THE OIL CRISIS OF THE mid-seventies led to a steep increase in the prices of fertilisers in the international market which in turn led the government of India to put emphasis on self-sufficiency in domestic production of fertilisers.Policies were framed to create additional capacities in order to minimise the dependence on imports of finished fertilisers.
