Production of total fertiliser nutrients (N+P_2O_5) at 1.156 million tonnes (Mte) during March 2005 recorded positive growth of 19.2% compared to March 2004.Production of N at 0.861 Mte during March 2005 registered sharp increase of 31.9% over March 2004.On the other hand,P_2O_5 production at 0.295 Mte declined by 7% during the period.Majority of the fertilisers recorded positive growth in production except AS,DAP,20-20-0 (ANP),23-23-0,17-17-17,and 12-32-16 which registered negative growth during the period.Production of N surpassed the target by 12.6 thousand tonnes (Kte) whereas P_2O_5 fell short by 86 Kte during March 2005.
