Simulation of Response of Composite Structures Under Fire Exposure

In this work, we describe our attempts to model the response of a structural composite bulkhead subjected to fire loading conditions. Measured in-plane and out-of-plane responses are compared with those predicted using a finite element analysis with temperature dependent material properties. Deficiencies in the modeling effort are discussed.
