Problems and prospects of agricultural mechanization in Lebanon

摘要

A survey was conducted in five major agricultural regions in Lebanon to determine the status of agricultural mechanization. Relevant information was obtained by visiting and interviewing farmers using a structured questionnaire. Problemspertaining to socio-economic, technical, environmental, management, institutional (local manufacturing, extension services, and research and training) aspects of mechanization were identified. Possible solutions are proposed.
