The production of N at 1.140 million metric tonnes and P2O5 at 0.354 million tonnes in December 2013 recorded increase of 4.1% and 9.2%, respectively, over December 2012. Among the major fertilisers, the production of urea and NP/NPK complex fertilisers recorded increase of 2.3% and 35%, respectively, during December 2013 over December 2012. However, the production of DAP registered a decline of 8.5% during the same period. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 75.5 and 92.2 thousand tonnes from the respective targets during December 2013. The capacity utilisation of N and P2O5. increased from 99.9% and 61.9% during December 2012 to 101.3% and 68.6%, respectively, during December 2013.
