Annual Review of Fertiliser Production and Consumption 2013-14

During the year 2013-14, despite good monsoon, overall fertiliser consumption fell due to low demand of phosphate and potash. Total fertiliser nutrient consumption fell by 3.2% during 2013-14. The supply from indigenous production increased marginally. The shortfall between consumption and production was fulfilled through import. Imports of most of the fertilisers declined in 2013-14 compared to the previous year.
