By using an equivalent weight vector, a radiation pattern of ESPAR (Electronically Steerable Passive Array Radiator) antenna can be calculated easily. A conventional equivalent weight vector is expressed with current at a point on each antenna element. This paper proposes to multiply vector effective length to express whole current distribution on the elements. It was discovered by the investigation about current distributions along elements using a moment method that vector effective length is linear to the reactance value of the joined reactor. Accordingly, the current distribution along the elements is easily considered in the equivalent weight vector to calculate the directivity precisely.
