Mr.K.S.Raju in his paper highlighted the importance of agriculture in Indian economy.He also emphasized the urgency of accelerating growth in agriculture for sustaining the overall growth in GDP.Mr.Raju underlined the crucial role of fertilisers and emphasized the need for a vibrant domestic fertiliser industry supported by appropriate policies to encourage production and consumption of fertilisers to increase agricultural productivity,production and net farm incomes.
