摘要

Chemical oscillations have been studied both visually and potentiometrically with gallic acid as substrate in a new acid medium, i.e., HNO_3 medium with ferroin as catalyst. The oscillations are very much pronounced. Studies have also been made in H_3PO_4 medium using Mn(II) ions as catalsyt which is also a new combination. The oscillation parameters have been found to obey certain simple relations. A comparison has also been made with previous studies in H_2SO_4 and HClO_4 media.
