The session was chaired by Mr. Vinod Mehra, President (Operations), Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, Gadepan, Kota. In all, five papers were presented in the Session viz, (i) Coal Gasification Technology for Ammonia Plants by Mr. David P.Mann, KBR USA (ii) Minimising energy consumption in ammonia/urea complexes by Mr.Svend Erik Nielsen, Haldor Topsoe International A/S Denmark (iii) Commissioning Experience of World's Largest Single Train Ammonia Plant by Mr. Sayer Al-Mufadhali, Ma'aden Phosphate Company, Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia (iv) Implementation of Stamicarbon's key technology developments in recent urea grass roots projects by Mr. Bart Gevers, Stamicarbon BV Netherlands (v) Improving Efficiency in Production of Complex Fertilisers by Dr. Ramakrishnan Iyer, GM (TS), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., Paradeep. Mr. G.M.Patel, Technical Director, Rahimtula Group, New Delhi, acted as Rapporteur.
