Availability of Natural Gas - Precursor for Urea Production

NATURAL GAS IS CONSIDERED THEideal feedstock for production of nitrogenous fertilisers. The natural gas is preferred feedstock worldwide for production of ammonia which is required for manufacturing of a variety of nitrogenous and complex fertilisers. In India, fertilisers played a dominant role in bringing about the green revolution and ensuring food security for the country.
