The production of N at 0.977 million tonnes during June 2012 registered a decline of 3.9% over June 2011. The production of P2O5 at 0.251 million tonnes witnessed a sharp decline of 31.5% during the period. Among the major fertiliser products, while the production of urea recorded a marginal increase of 1.2%, the production of DAP, NP/ NPK complex fertilisers and SSP registered sharp decline of 53.6%, 14.3% and 19.5%, respectively, during June 2012 over June 2011. Production of N and P2O5 fell short by 139.7 and 160.3 thousand tonnes, respectively, from the target during June 2012. The capacity utilisation of N and P2O5 reduced from 98.8% and 70.9% during June 2011 to 94.9% and 48.9%, respectively, during June 2012.
