Maintenance and Inspection in Phosphoric Acid

摘要

Due to inherent corrosion and errosion issues prevailing in phosphoric acid production, RCF-Trombay carried out continual improvements in the reliability of plant assets to achieve higher on stream days through various measures. The plant has achieved highest production of 150 MTPD and is poised to take up challenges of sustained higher level of production to meet the demand of downstream complex fertiliser plants.This paper illustrates systematic periodic inspection for identifying potential grey areas and planned maintenance inputs as some key strategic measures taken during turnaround of this plant. A case study highlighting the trouble shooting of the belt filter, while encompassing the maintenance inputs has been presented.
