THE PRODUCTION OF N AND P2O5 AT 1.049 and 0.382 million tonnes during July 2009, recorded an increase of 9.5% and 26.7%, respectively, over July 2008. Major increase in production came from DAP. The production of DAP increased by 88.9%, from a total of 0.242 million tonnes in July 2008 to 0.457 million tonnes in July 2009. The production of other major fertilisers, viz. urea and SSP increased by 5.9% and 20.3%, respectively, during July'09 over July'08. However, the production of NP/NPKs complex fertilisers declined by 8.6% during the period.
