Enhancement of β‐galactosidase productivity of Aspergillus niger NCIM‐616

A series of mutations was carried out withAspergillus nigerNCIM‐616 as the parent strain. A mutant strain NG‐4 with 28 increased β‐galactosidase productivity was produced withN‐methyl‐N‐nitro‐N‐nitrosoguanidine (NTG) at 1500µg ml‐1concentration and exposure timeof 60 min.
