China's coal imports rebound in March

China’s coal imports increased in March after threeconsecutive month-on-month declines. The rebound waslargely driven by tighter domestic supply as a result of minesafety inspections.Total coal imports — including anthracite, coking andthermal coal — were 22.09mn t last month, customs datashow. This is a rise of 4.41mn t or 25pc from a month earlier,and is up by 30pc compared with March last year.
