Phase transfer catalysis by tetraethylammonium bromide: Reaction of potassium superoxide with some acetylated compounds

摘要

The reaction of tetraethylammonium superoxide (Et_4NO_2) with some acetylated aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds gives the corresponding carboxylic acids under significantly mild conditions. The investigation extends the applicability of tetraethylammnium bromide (Et_4NBr) as an efficient phase transfer catalyst.
